WHO DO I WORK WITH?

I work collaboratively with clients to address work and family stress, grief, self-esteem and relationship problems. Some of my clients are not currently facing a crisis but are interested in personal development. Others are suffering the emotional after-effects of traumatic experiences. I help clients overcome clinical depression or anxiety disorders such as Panic disorder, Phobias, Social Anxiety Disorder and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. This list is not exhaustive. What is my Approach?

In addition to a comprehensive foundation in clinical psychology which includes coverage of all the main approaches to therapy such as Rogerian counseling, Systemic approaches and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, I have specialist postgraduate training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).

I believe that specific forms of therapy are generally better for some problems but I usually draw upon my diverse experience and training to provide a therapy that is tailored to the needs and strengths of every individual client. Sessions are 50 minutes. I offer a fee based on a sliding scale depending upon your income.
